Aleena and Rohit have this chemistry that Bollywood movies are made of. They are constantly pulling each other’s legs in a crazy romantic way! Their engagement shoot in New York City was an absolutely blast. So naturally I could not wait for their mehendi event at their parents home and wedding at Chateau La Mer, Long Island. The wedding was a Pandora’s box of great moments big and small. The humor and jokes are deeply rooted even among their family and friends. Aleena’s family own Stylish Events, a decorating company based in the New York and New Jersey area. The details at their wedding were stunning and put together by Aleena’s talented brother Sunny! The beautiful floating mandap surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean with garlands of beautiful blooms just as unique as the couple. The mirrored decor at the reception reflected Rohit’s shiny personality and love for expensive swag 😉
Aleena was an absolutely vision thanks to Heena Das Beauty. Aleena’s badass baarat starting at her parents home, was one of the highlights of this beautiful wedding. She exited her baarat in a Polaris Slingshot that only she can pull off!! Usually the groom has a baarat but I love that Aleena and her girls wanted in on the fun! Her bubbly and energetic mom Reshma, who is also an incredible dancer showed everyone how it is done at the baarat and then at the reception! The connection between Aleena’s mom and Rohit was also so beautiful to watch and brought everyone to tears at the reception during their special son/ mother in law dance!! In the many Indian wedding that I have photographed I have never seen a more well dressed dog, aka Reeces looked adorable in his neatly pressed Indian outfit! Aleena and Rohit showed us what it is all about to get married during a pandemic: Surrounded by their pillars of support, their family and friends. Congrats to you both and thank you for having me document all the beautiful moments!
Big shout out to Denis Gustov and Simi Vijay or helping me second shoot this wedding. The videography team from J’Adore was amazing to work with.
