Monica and Neeraj’s engagement shoot was so different from the ordinary. Firstly, because Monica happens to be one of my really close friends, this gave me a free hand to produce some unique pictures that are really ‘out of the world’! The more I have gotten to know Neeraj over the years, I have come to see his quirky side and the great energy he produces along with this beautiful woman. So, my other big task was trying to capture some of that great energy and connection.
We started at the Highline, interacting with some of NYC’s street art, having so much fun along the way with the crazy old man in Hanes pants! As we were leaving for Dumbo we serendipitously walked across the Manhattan Henge! I have always wanted to shoot the henge and photographing it with Monica and Neeraj made it extra special. Monica changed into a really beautiful Indian outfit for Dumbo. Trying to incorporate the volume and beauty of her dress as well as the connection between them resulted in some wonderful bollywood-esque pictures! Congratulations you both…and cannot wait for your wedding in Quebec City in just a few weeks!!
