Documenting Life’s Moments

One of the most treasured presents we can give our children is the gift of childhood memories. For this, we document your family story in a very raw and honest way. All you have to be is yourselves so we can get natural photos of your family. We want to capture the laughter, tears, the heartache of parenting and the joy of childhood. At the end of the family documentary we do a portrait session that will give you beautiful portraits that you can frame. We have been documenting New York City (NYC) family photography sessions for over a decade and have loved every minute of it. We travel to New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island or Hamptons for family photo sessions.

We have done three photo shoots with Priyanca over the last couple of years. A couples shoot, a maternity session and more recently a family photo shoot. All of them gave us incredibly beautiful photos. She has an amazing eye for the surrounding environment which she often creatively incorporates into her pictures. She will not hesitate to lie down on a busy sidewalk in Manhattan to give you that perfect NYC shot.
Capturing the essence of NYC is one of her greatest skills. She is also charming and funny and easily makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I were not the type to print/frame photos (not even our wedding photos!) but the only ones on display in our living room are those taken by Priyanca. She will always be our photographer!

tHE pROCESS

Consultation

During your complimentary consultation we will plan and discuss about your family, location and potential session. We will also confirm and reserve your appointment time and date.

sESSION

On the day of your session we will arrive at the location of your choice. Usually start at your home and move on to an outdoor location for a family activity. We will end the session with a handful of portraits.

sELECTION

Your ordering appointment will be scheduled 7-10 days within your session. We will present a collection of images to choose from based on the number of images you want to purchase. We will also share ideas for wall art, an album and other beautiful art products. Print orders will be placed at this appointment.

dELIVERY

In 4-6 weeks we will notify you that your art is ready for pick up for you to enjoy!

How would you describe your photography style?

In two words ARTISTIC DOCUMENTARY family photography. We love to photograph real moments that are unscripted and authentic to your story. Our photos are bold and creative. As a New York City family photographer we know how important it is to set the scene where your story is unfolding. During the family photo sessions we do very little posing, we are not into props, rather we direct our clients to do activities or engage each other to create natural moments. We want to capture a range of emotions, happy, sad and everything in between! Authenticity makes your story unique. Kids photos are some of the most rewarding to capture but also the hardest. How long have you been in business? What is the history?

We have been photographing family documentaries for over a decade. We also have first hand experience at the studio raising our own kids, and understand the journey of parenthood. Whether it is newborn photos or of your ever growing kids, we enjoy capturing these stories.

What distinguishes your work from that of other photographers?

Our photos are as colorful, loud and bold as your family! They show movement, energy and layers of stories. We leave plenty of time for the session because photographing kids requires patience. These photos are made to be displayed in an album and share your family’s unique story.

What type of equipment do you use?

We use all Pro Fujifilm with prime lenses along with back up cameras. Our Pro lenses are very sharp and give a nice shallow depth of field that make your pictures look dreamy. We also carry professional lighting for indoor photography during the ceremony and reception.

Do you share all the raw files after an event?

No, because we can do better than raws! When you book us you are paying for our professional set of eyes that is trained to only pick the best of the best. We will send you a selection gallery and you can pick the photos that you want to purchase based on the photo package you want.
