Sumiti and Ramit are a match made in heaven. They balance each other so perfectly. Every time I hung out with them, I was amazed at their chemistry and unconditional love for each other and for their friends and family. So, when I had the honor of photographing their wedding, I knew there would be a lot of feelings to capture through photos.
Their wedding was phenomenal from the get go. Their whole relationship of late has been based on an enormous amount of trust and support, which they showed by exchanging loaded letters to each other as they got ready in the morning. Right after exchange Ramit just walked into Sumiti’s room for a hug. This was their epic first look. Simple and real. I have never photographed a getting ready this emotional. Sumiti’s close bond with her entire family is so strong and personal. I love the way each of them showed their love for her in a completely different way. Between wiping my tears and anticipating moments, my shutter could not be clicking fast enough. Thank goodness for Sanjana’s amazing make up skills, Sumiti looked her beautiful self despite all the emotional moments!
One of the sweetest moments at the baarat was Ramit trying to lure his little nieces and nephews with his serah (face cover) on to the horse carriage. The baarat precession synced perfectly with Ramit’s upbeat party personality, DJ Kutcha totally killed it with electrifying music and dhol players. Their beautiful outdoor wedding in shades of pink and white by Stylish events was filled with meaning and moments. Every time Sumiti got emotional during the ceremony, Ramit would make her laugh in his own unique way. Their reception was literally fireworks! The loaded toasts and speeches by close family and friends summarized their relationship beautifully. The surprise outdoor cake cutting at The Carlton synchronized with a firework display, which took everyone’s breath away. The food catered by Akbar was just phenomenal. Ramit quit his finance job in the city prior to his wedding to join the family restaurant business that his mom started many years ago. Ramit and Sumiti put so much thought into the menu and presentation, and the guests were raving about it for two days straight. Congratulations to you both Sumiti and Ramit. I cannot thank you enough for choosing us to document your big day. It has been such an absolute honor and a blast!
