When I first met Farah for a coffee at Meatpacking district I was struck by her extroverted personally and caring nature. She was specifically looking for a female South Asian photographer to document her wedding at the St. Regis in NYC. I not only felt honored but also loved that there were other women out there who look out for each other. Farah’s and Taimur’s beautiful wedding was set in the city that she loves and to the man of her dreams. Farah the matchmaker was finally getting married, as her friends said in their toasts. To show some of their love for their favorite city, we set out on a little walk on 5th avenue for a New Yorkey feel.
Their beautiful nikka ceremony was filled with soft shades of pastels flowers by the very talented Design House Decor. The ceremony was meaningful and filled with sweet little moments, as they made their vows amongst their family and friends. Their flawless day was planned impeccably by the team from Sonal J Shah Events and executed to perfection. The delicious food catered by the very talented Chef Anand looked as good as it tasted! DJ Raj and team spun some awesome tunes at the reception and kept everyone on their toes.
One of the best moments to document from the whole day was Farah’s little niece and nephew hanging out with her as she got ready for her big day by the one and only David from Red Market Studio. Taimur’s daughter’s speech at the reception was totally an awe moment for all the guests and brought tears to everyone eyes. There are some people whose love is so contagious, it is simply meant to be. Farah and Taimur are a winning combination and gave me so many cool moments to photograph.
Congratulations to Farah and Taimur, I was so honored to capture all your special moments!
